Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing a page I put together using the June Kit from KP’s latest shop update. The kit is called My Day and it’s perfect for putting together every day spreads.
I loved loved loved the typography on the cards in this kit. It was a great way to tie together my page since I didn’t feel that my photos were very cohesive. Because the puppy snapchat filter plus eggs benedict.
The first picture is of my sister taking pictures of the cover of her summer scrapbook. I am so proud. Here’s the full shot.
I so love the colors of this kit. They’re light and airy and perfect for spring/summer pages. Also I’m a sucker for mint/coral so there’s that.
Be sure to check out the process video below!
This blog has been so neglected. I am so sorry. But I’m back! Hopefully for a while. The intention is there. So.
I’m sharing this page today – it’s a 9×12 page with a 6×12 page. I was super inspired the the Studio Calico Outdoor Specialty Cards. I loved the different shades of blue and yellow plus the bits of gold. Theme-wise, they worked perfectly on this spread focusing on a field/game day I had with my friends a couple of weeks ago.
I brought the gold down to the bottom of the page using these American Crafts Imprint Thickers in white and gold.
I brought the yellow to the other side of the page using another card from the set. I loved that textured looking portion of the card. I brought the blue over with a paper clip from Freckled Fawn.
Also, that #squad wood veneer was perfect. When I have too many pictures – especially 4×6 ones – I like putting them together on a 3×4 canvas and printing it that way. It makes picking photos a lot easier.
Make sure you check out the process video down below!
I’m almost done with my Jonas Brothers Concert mini album – which I’m half excited about and half sad about. I really like living vicariously through my old photos and this album has definitely helped me do that. Anyway!
I’m sharing this layout I put together using some random stuff for my stash. I’m also using a bunch of Clearly Kelly Stamp Sets which you can find over at kellypurkeyshop.com
That alphabet stamp is perfect for both project life pages and planners. Super versatile and simple and goes with everything. I love it.
I also made some quick embellishments using some banner stamps. The clearly Kelly inks coordinated perfectly with the orange and yellow in the concert photos.
Happy March! Today I’ll be sharing the project I made using Kelly Purkey’s February Shop update, which you can check out here.
If you’ve been following me, you know I’ve been working on a Jonas Brothers mini album focused on the various Jonas Brothers concerts I’ve been to throughout the years. This month’s Playlist Kit was seriously perfect for my Radio City Music Hall page.
The colors worked out so perfectly, it almost looks like I planned it. (I didn’t.)
This month’s kit came with some great journaling cards and the alphas that I’ve been using in a bunch of my projects lately. I finished the page off with some little embellishments like hearts and stars (because duh).
I used the stamp set that came in the kit to add some bars of music to the grey filler card.
On the other side of the page, I used the One & Only stamp set that was also released this month. Don’t forget to check out the process video down below!
Today I’m sharing a grid page. This page is from my and my boyfriend’s anniversary date a few weeks ago. We went to see Aladdin on Broadway – which was amazing, highly recommend – and grabbed some food after.
I used some cards and papers from the Studio Calico January Documenter Kit and from the newly opened Push Print Studio. Caytlyn from Push Print Studio sent me a couple of card sets to try out and I love them. They’re so modern and trendy and totally up my alley. They’re so very much my style and I highly recommend them.
I also used the stamp set from Kelly Purkey’s Mini in Minutes kit from last month which is, sadly, sold out 😦 sorry guys. Also used some Smashbook stuff from K&Company. I love the bits of blue and yellow through the page. Also, the black and white because of course.
Don’t forget to check out the process video + mini vlog down below!
If you know me at all, you know I love Disney World. Like, a lot. 70% of the time, I wonder why I’m not there.
I’ve been putting off finishing my Disney album because I use it as an escape back to the happiest place on earth. Which has been especially helpful during the worst season of the year (I love Disney as much as I hate winter).
I put together this page using my Becky Higgins Fuse Tool. When I first printed these pictures, I knew I wanted to use the Fuse tool, but I was always a bit nervous because melty page protectors just don’t sound like a good time. This page focuses on how freakin beautiful Magic Kingdom is at night.
I’ve been hoarding that gold star vellum from the Studio Calico Brighton Pier collection for probably about two years. I deem thee worthy, Magic Kingdom. The rest of the scraps come from the Dear Lizzy Serendipity 6×6 Paper Pad and the Studio Calico Arendal Kit (as if I haven’t raved about that kit enough since I got it).
Process video is below. You know what to do. Until next time.
I’m sharing some of my Clearly Kelly projects today! (Ha ha today ^ get it? okay. bye.)
This month, Kelly released a bunch of new Clearly Kelly products. Lots of planner products (which you’ll see down below) and a bunch of Stamp & Cut sets, as well. I’ve been working on my Jonas Adventures album, albeit very slowly. I think part of me really wants to take my time with this album and savor it because when I get nostalgic I get all weird and sentimental and everything takes so much longer to finish. ANYWAY. I used the Twenty Sixteen Stamp & Cut set and the Label Stamp & Cut set for the today embellishment on the left lower corner. I stamped using Staz On.
I also used the Adventure Planner set for a bunch of little details like this label for the date and the camera in the upper right hand corner. I love tiny stamps and these planner stamps work great for pocket pages.
I’ve been LOVING the new planner stamps. I’ve been waiting for a Fitness Planner, and KP delivered.
I’ve also been using her Alpha Tabs Stamp & Cut set. This tiny alpha works great for planners and also pocket pages (I used it in the layout above as well). Honestly, I’ve used so many of her planner stamps on this week that I don’t even remember which ones I used lol whoops. There’s bits of the Shopping Planner set as well. Honestly, you should just go ahead and order the bundle, because all the sets are really versatile and fantastic quality.
Today, I’m sharing the projects I’ve made using Kelly Purkey’s January shop update. You can check out her shop here at kellypurkeyshop.com.
The first layout I’m sharing is probably the sappiest thing I’ve ever made in all my history of scrapbooking. As you know, I’m not a sappy person at all which is kind of ironic because I think scrapbooking is pretty damn sappy. But when I got this month’s kits and stamp sets, I couldn’t help myself. Last month was my boyfriend and my anniversary so I decided to put together a little anniversary insert.
I used the You’re a Lifesaver stamp set for a bunch of bits in this layout. My favorite stamp from that set is the one that says “i like you and i love you” because – I believe – it’s loosely based on a quote from my favorite show in the whole world (which is saying something because I watch way too much tv), Parks and Recreation. If you watch it, you know exactly what I’m talking about. If you don’t, then what are you doing with your life that you’re not watching Parks and Rec??? It’s on Netflix. All of it. Go.
For the cards, I cut down a card from the Mini in Minutes kit and the High Five kit. I used the alphabets in both kits because I love alphabet stickers. I did a bunch of stamping right on the instax photos. I used Staz On ink and it worked perfectly. Then I just went ahead and used my Tiny Attacher to staple the photos in my pockets.
For my second layout, I used a bunch of bits from both kits that I mentioned before. I used the Williamsburg alpha which I love. It fits perfectly with the Greenpoint alpha (which, unfortunately, is sold out 😦 wahhhh). EDIT: they’re both sold out. my bad, yall.
Again, I used the ‘I like you and I love you’ stamp because I’m obsessed. I thought that little section was perfect for a tiny stamp. I did some journaling and stamping on the pink card because I’m trying to hand journal more even though I really, really, really don’t like it. But I’m trying!
And I’m sooo loving the fact that the kits come with alphas now. They’re in a great clean font that will go with anything. They’re a perfect size for pocket pages!
Don’t forget to check out the process video for the second layout!
Today I’m sharing my favorites for January.
First of all, it’s absolutely absurd that January is basically over but I’m also okay with that because that means we’re one step closer to warmer weather. If it never snows again this winter, I’ll be perfectly content.
1.) Studio Calico Arendal Documenter Kit
I’ve used this kit so much more than I thought I would when I first got it. I liked it fine when I got it in the mail. Of course, I pointed out my favorite black and white cards and worked it into my stash. But I’ve found myself coming back to the kit and working exclusively from it this month. The last time I loved a kit that much was last year’s Carolina Moon kit and I was absolutely obsessed with it. This month’s kit gets an A+ from me.
2.) Kelly Purkey’s Metropolitan Ave Alphabet Stamp Set
Again, this is another product I’ve found myself coming back to since I received it last month. It’s really versatile and the clean font works with pretty much everything. As usual, KP’s stamp quality is top notch, so there are no complaints on that front.
3.) Get To Work Book
I love my planner. I love being organized. I love that this is a no frills planner. Paper quality is great and none of my stamping or writing bleeds through. It’s big and it’s heavy, but I really love the weight and how much room I have to scribble notes down. Unfortunately, Elise is all sold out of the 2016 version so if you weren’t able to grab one, I am truly sorry for your loss because I love this thing.
4.) Studio Calico Pouches
I’m constantly looking to reorganize my workspace and make things more efficient because I don’t have all the time in the world to rummage through all of my supplies. I decided to start using the pouches for storage and I’m never not gonna use them like this again. I’m currently using three – one for my Clearly Kelly Planner Products, one for my embellishments (word stickers, washi sheets, etc), and one for all my scraps. They fit nicely in my IKEA Expedit shelves next to my 6×6 paper pads.
5.) Fuji Film Instax Share
I’ve wanted this for so long and it lived up to the hype. Works best with photos that haven’t been edited. It prints suuuuper quickly which is great because I’m impatient af. I love the look of washed out polaroids and instax photos so this thing is my new best friend.
I’ve been so, so, so excited to start putting together my 2016 album. I feel like I’ve said that about 349,857,394 times, but it hasn’t gotten any less true. And with my excitement comes the motivation to share. So along with my weekly process videos, which you can find over here, I’m going to try to share the detailed shots on my blog – especially for those of you who aren’t really into the whole process video thing.
Earlier this month, I celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday. It was super low key since life is busy and sometimes it’s just the little things that count. We played some video games before we grabbed dinner at Tori Ramen & Chicken. It was his first time going and I knew he was going to love the wings. Dreaming about them as I type, tbh.
I put this layout together with the Studio Calico Arendal Documenter Kit along with some random cards from other kits (I’m gonna take a guess and say the balloon card is from Far, Far Away and the middle card is from Wink, Wink). I drew a lot of the colors from the food. So, thanks to that lovely bowl of ramen, you’ll see the greens and yellows repeated throughout the page.
